What is a Virtual Tour?

A virtual tour is simulation of an actual existing location comprised of 2 dimensional images of the real location 'stitched' together using special computer software to produce a fully immersive and interactive image that the viewer can take control of using his/her mouse and look around through full 360 degrees.

The Wikipedia definition of a Virtual Tour says that 'a virtual tour is accessed on a personal computer, typically over the Internet. It does not require travel, but ideally, virtual tour viewing evokes an experience of actually moving through the represented space'.

A Virtual Tour is the nearest thing to actually being at the place you are looking at on your computer. It makes you feel like you really are there. You can experience that sensation because, when you view each designated place, you can look up, down, move side to side and spin around 360 degrees. In other words, it's not like looking at a photograph - flat, dull, boring, lifeless and 2D, you actually feel like you are taking in the atmosphere, looking around every part of the location you have chosen to view!
